What is the Steel Rail Revival?

The Steel Rail Revival is an exciting, annual event that will take place on Sunday, July 21st on 11 stages throughout the Village of Fairport. This event is being presented to benefit the The Arc of Monroe and The Pirate Toy Fund.

The mission of the Arc of Monroe is to create an inclusive society where the people we support may live truly integrated lives and reach their full potential as a part of their community. With a vision of a progressive community that welcomes diversity, fosters meaningful relationships, and cultivates a life of fulfillment for those that they support, the Arc of Monroe centers around furthering opportunities for independence as its purpose.

The Pirate Toy Fund is the only nonprofit organization in the country dedicated to distributing new toys year-round to children in need throughout the Greater Rochester region. We serve children from families affected by medically traumatic issues, domestic abuse, natural disasters, and financial challenges. Approximately 85% of the children who receive our toys live in poverty. Co-Founded by local children’s entertainer, Gary the Happy Pirate and Dave and Lorrie Simonetti, the Pirate Toy Fund has distributed over 500,000 toys since 1995 and continues to actively pursue new avenues to expand its mission.
